Scuba Diving

7 guys from Bangalore gear up for an adventure trip, its time dive into the sea and experience the feel of fishes and other aquatic animals along with them. the dates were fixed a month back and everyone were very excited for the much awaited weekend.

Day 1: April 26 2014

Sun rays, chilled air and little fog woke us in the tempo traveler and found ourselves moving in the curvy roads of gerosoppa forest region near shimogga. It was 7 in the morning when we reached Honnavara,  our first stop was at Ram thirtha, a place where a small stream flowing all over the year from unknown source. We took bath in that pond and had a visit to temple attached to pond.

After breakfast our next stop was at idugunji ganapathi temple, soon at 2 we were at our final destination murudeshwara temple. Visited temple and finished lunch at temple. Checked into kamath hotel which was pre-booked, rooms were pretty good with AC which was must required at 35+ temperature. We decided to take a small nap before we had a evening walk beach side. We called up Nethrani diving academy to ensure the next days plan. 

Night ended with so so OK food in a dhaaba and really nice gudbuds, the go pro cameras and everyone were all set for next day diving experience.

Day 2: April 27 2014

It was 7 in the morning and everyone were excited and looking forward for the adventures day.
we were having our breakfast at RNS beach restaurant, looking at the children playing in the beach and fisher man making there boat for the day hoping to catch good fishes.
we were at the reporting point at 8 am exactly, the Dreams diving team was making all the paper work and necessary arrangements for the dive.
soon we walked to the shore, where 2 motor boats were waiting for boarding. we too helped the team to load the oxygen cylinders and other stuffs into the boat, and the journey to the island started.

Mr.Dhirendra the head of Dreams Diving was briefing everyone about the basics of the diving and Do's and Don'ts, also we had a chance to try breathing with the oxygen hose before diving.

after a brief 2 hrs of boat journey which as indeed awesome with water surrounded all four side, we were at our destination at Nethrani island.

upon reaching there we were the first batch to dive in, and we were ready for it.

It was wonderful 40 min of our life to be inside the ocean to and experience the entire new world down there.

After the dive we were given ample time to snorkel around the island which was also no less fun.

One helluva awesome experience
I had watched the 3d clips of the aquatic life, it was really good
But me being part of it was simply superb
Watching those creatures n under water life it just can't be said in mere words
It's an experience which need to be felt
Will definitely do this adventure once more :)



If you have a adventure craving heart,  2 days of time and 6 thousand in your pocket, don't think twice. just go ahead and do this it will be one of the best time of your life.

Coastal photography Ride

Year was coming to end, everyone were set for celebration of Christmas and very eager to welcome New year, for me celebration is riding my bike, adding a topping to the celebration brand new KTM Duke was awaiting for its first long ride. 

Me with my riding buddies all set for the ride, we would like to call this ride as coastal photography ride as we aimed to Ride-click-Ride and also to make a Photo documentary on one of the old town of Karnataka. we chose Honnavara which is on the western coast. 

clock ticked 2 am, and we were all in full gears with our bikes all set to start our ride, after breifing about few basic group riding ethics we were rolling on the roads. The Pleasure of riding is watching sun rise when you cruising on the highway, feeling the wind on your face and watching everything in the world getting active by the touch of sun ray's. 

It was around 6 30 am took deviation from NH4 toward shimoga,  we were welcomed by  garden of sunset flowers, it was hard to just pass through without clicking the smiley flowers.

After a short photo stop reached shimoga by 8 30 and stopped at famous hotel sharada bhavana for breakfast, and then started riding again came across beautiful roads of sharavathi valley offered excellent curvy roads for cornering, we shot a video of cornering. myself and Avinash had new duke 200 and Sumanth had pulsar 200NS which was not more than 8 months old, so it was like on the road one on one test of two equally talented beasts across corners and straight roads.  was enjoying every km of riding and every corner. words  cant express the feel how it feels like while riding.

temperature was raising beyond 30 and we reached Honnavara which was our destination of the day by 4 pm and quenched our thirst , after a break headed towards Apsarakonda beach. spent a silent evening with our bikes on the beach with waves hushing like background music.

Day 2 morning the city was silent and we as planned went for a photo-walk around the city of honnavara.

later we headed towards murudeshwara temple and beach. 

The bikes Beach and the awesome fun group and ample of time, what else can you expect. the Fun begins. now let the pictures talk the story.

plan was to reach sringeri via agumbe for the night. it was already 3 pm and we don't want to miss the famous agumbe sunset we started our ride, but it was bit late to chase to witness the sunset on the ghats of agumbe. but the evening was pleasant with sunset at maravanthe beach.  

maravanthe is one my favorite beach as it has river souparnika  on the other side of the road and maravanthe beach on the other end.

soon we reached agumbe and dinner was at Kasturi akka mane, a 200 years old house Dodda mane with really generous people who welcome the travelers and offer space to reside and offering un matched malnad food.

The home and hospitality of the people makes us feel homely. felt like we have visited our grand mother house.  bid bye to kasturi akka and to Daddamane and reached sringeri to end the Day.

Next day bikers were in spiritual mood the plan was to visit sringeri temple and Dharmasthala temple,

 we did visit these two temples and again took the curvy roads on charmadi ghats, again needless to say the roads offered awesome curves with forest surrounding.

took break at Kottigehara for the famous neer dosa's, we bikers are also foodies would not like to miss any special foods. 

 sun bid goodbye for the day and so our ride was coming  to an end reached Bangalore via hassan on NH48 one of the best roads to wide open the throttle.

They say --  It is Good to have an end to Journey towards ; but it is the journey that matters in the end.

The photography ride with awesome machines, fun filled group, forest, beaches, cameras, and fabulous roads ended.

Doing what you like is freedom, Liking what you do is happiness.
